Sixteen South picks up third-party rights to Mixmups

NEWS BRIEF: Independent Northern Ireland kids’ production studio Sixteen South has secured the distribution rights to preschool animated series Mixmups (52×10’), its first sales deal for a third-party series.

Commissioned by 5’s Milkshake! in the UK, Mixmups is produced by Mackinnon & Saunders (Pinocchio, Moon & Me, Fantastic Mr Fox, BooSnoo) and created and written by Rebecca Atkinson. The CGi/2D animation hybrid series has been a ratings success in Canada, where it is screened on TVO and Knowledge, RTÉ in Ireland and in Australia, where it launched on ABC.
