Sister adopts ex-Amazon Studios UK head and Fleabag producer Lydia Hampson

Sister, the production venture from Elisabeth Murdoch, Stacey Snider and Jane Featherstone, has hired former Amazon UK executive and Fleabag producer Lydia Hampson as executive producer.

As part of the appointment, Hampson, the former head of UK scripted at Amazon Studios, Sister and Amazon Studios UK have agreed a first-look deal that will see them develop scripted series for Prime, working alongside Amazon Studios UK head of originals Dan Grabiner.

At Sister, Hampson will work with its teams in London, Manchester and LA across a range of new scripted titles, developing and producing high-end scripted projects and nurturing new creators from diverse backgrounds both on- and off-screen.

Hampson’s first project with Sister will be drama The Following Events are Based on a Pack of Lies, which she will work on with joint head of scripted and executive producer Naomi de Pear (This is Going to Hurt, The Power, Flowers) and director of development Alice Tyler (Landscapers, The Baby Flowers). The conman thriller was commissioned by the BBC and written by Penny and Ginny Skinner.

Prior to joining Sister and Amazon Studios UK, Hampson was an executive producer at Two Brothers Pictures, where she produced Wonderdate for the BBC, ITV thriller Cheat and season one of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag before moving to executive producer for season two of the comedy.
