Showtime spreads gossip docuseries

Showtime Documentary Films, the factual arm of the US cablenet, has ordered a limited docuseries focusing on New York Post columnist Cindy Adams.

Gossip Starring Cindy Adams (working title) will profile Adams’ rise and chronicle the history of her gossip column, which she has written since 1979.

The show is being produced by Imagine Documentaries in cooperation with the New York Post.

Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Michael Rosenberg, Sara Bernstein and Justin Wilkes will executive produce for Imagine, with Troy Searer executive producing for New York Post Entertainment. Jenny Charchman is directing and producing the programme, which is scheduled to premiere in 2021.
