We Need to Talk About Cosby is from Emmy-winning director W Kamau Bell and will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival ahead of its network premiere on Saturday, January 30.

The four-parter offers an in-depth look at the revolutionary career and personal descent of Bill Cosby, who for decades was revered as ‘America’s Dad’ but gained infamy as a criminal defendant in a sexual-assault prosecution.

The series explores the story of Cosby’s life and work, weighing his actions against his indisputable global influence, through interviews with comedians, cultural commentators, journalists and women who share their most personal and harrowing encounters with Cosby.

Bell is a stand-up comedian, director, executive producer, host and author. He hosts and executive produces docuseries United Shades of America and co-hosts the podcast Politically Re-Active.

Boardwalk Pictures Production is producing in association with WKB Industries.
