Showtime admits Flatbush Misdemeanors

Kevin Iso and Dan Perlman’s Flatbush Misdemeanours

US cablenet Showtime has ordered a comedy show based on Kevin Iso and Dan Perlman’s digital series Flatbush Misdemeanors.

Coproduced by Showtime and UK comedy specialist prodco Avalon, the 10×30’ adaptation will go by the same name and will be created and written by Iso and Perlman, who will also star.

The comedy follows the lives of two men as they struggle to thrive in their new surroundings in the brash environment of Flatbush, Brooklyn.

Iso and Perlman will exec produce with Avalon’s founders Richard Allen-Turner and Jon Thoday, as well as CEO of Avalon USA David Martin and VP of development Chloe Pisello.

“Flatbush Misdemeanours is a funny, audacious and inventive series that rips the artisanal sheen off of Brooklyn and mines comedy from the diverse, un-gentrified characters who live there,” said Gary Levine, president of entertainment at Showtime.
