Shortform drama platform Viddsee taps industry veteran Venus Romsaitong to lead operation in Thailand

Singapore-based shortform drama platform Viddsee has appointed Venus Romsaitong as the general manager of its Thailand operations.

Romsaitong will lead Viddsee’s Thailand office, where she will oversee operations and spearhead business development efforts to expand the company’s client portfolio in the growing market, which is a strategic focus for Viddsee.

Reporting to Christopher Cumming, VP of commercial at Viddsee, the appointment reflects the company’s commitment to establishing a strong presence in Thailand, with a particular focus on advertising and branded content.

It comes as Viddsee looks to broaden its presence in the scripted content space with a focus on developing original content from an Asian perspective across both long-form and microdrama formats.

Viddsee has continued to grow its slate of microdrama originals, with productions underway such as My Magic Tablet in Thailand, Singapore and Taipei. Microdramas are characterised by fast-paced, concise storytelling, with videos usually two to three minutes long.

With over two decades of experience in marketing communications, Romsaitong joins Viddsee having worked with global agencies such as J. Walter Thompson, McCann, Worldgroup, FCB and Hakuhodo.

She has managed campaigns for brands, including Unilever, Mondelez, Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Chevrolet, Hyundai and Siemens Energy.

Most recently, her work in the tech-driven smart retail space has further diversified her skill set and industry expertise, Viddsee said.
