Seven West Media CCO Henry Tajer to step down after just five months in the role

Henry Tajer, the recently appointed chief commercial officer at Australia’s Seven West Media (SWM), is leaving his role after just five months.

Tajer, an advertising and media industry veteran, will step down and move into a consulting role at the company, parent of Network Seven, at the end of June. He joined Seven as a consultant in August 2024 and was appointed CCO at the end of January.

The position was effectively the replacement for the chief revenue officer role, which was made redundant last June, causing the exit of company veteran Kurt Burnette.

Jeff Howard, SWM’s managing director, said Tajer “drove significant change in his short time at Seven, and on behalf of the entire team I would like to thank him for his contribution. I look forward to continuing to work with Henry on opportunities to drive growth for SWM.”

The company did not give a reason for the reshuffle, but Tajer said: “Transitioning back to consulting work will enable me to focus on the many exciting opportunities still ahead for Seven. Seven’s content is consumed by more and more people every day. Finding new and innovative ways to engage and commercialise that audience is just one opportunity I look forward to working with Jeff and the team on.”
