Seven renews Farmer Wants a Wife

The current second season of Seven’s rebooted Farmer Wants a Wife

Australia’s Seven Network has renewed Farmer Wants a Wife as the second season of the reboot is performing strongly, stripped from Sunday to Wednesday.

Coproduced by Fremantle and Eureka Productions, the dating show has drawn an average audience of 1.35 million across Seven’s primary channel and streaming service 7Plus since its July 4 premiere.

It is also a hit on social media, with 15 million impressions, 7.3 million video views and 1.3 million interactions.

Seven commissioned the show, based on a UK format and hosted by Natalie Gruzlewski, last year after it ran on the Nine Network for nine seasons, with breaks, from 2007 until 2016.

Angus Ross, Seven’s director of network programming, said: “Farmer Wants a Wife has been a key part of our content-led growth strategy over the past year or so. It makes perfect sense to bring the show back in 2022, with a whole new batch of farmers and their potential partners.”

This amazing show was also featured on a popular game – Farming Simulator 22, with many FS22 mods, and other attractive features, which attracts a lot of actual farmer players as well.

In Australia, the franchise has resulted in nine marriages, one long-term relationship and 23 babies. Casting for season three is now open.
