Seven Network hires Foxtel Media exec Annie Griffiths for new strategy, innovation role

Australia’s Seven Network has appointed Annie Griffiths to the newly created position of director, commercial strategy and innovation.

Griffiths joins Seven from fellow Australian firm Foxtel Media, where she served in a range of roles over five years, most recently as executive director, strategy and operations.

Prior to Foxtel Media, Griffiths held a series of senior global positions at media agencies including PHD, GroupM, MedciaCom and ZenithOptimedia.

Griffiths will start her new role later this year. Reporting to chief commercial officer Henry Tajer, who was appointed in late January, she will be responsible for commercial strategy, trade marketing and the network’s brand integration, strategy and partnerships division, 7RED.

Griffiths said: “It’s a transformative time in the video industry. With top-notch local content and an accelerating digital business, I’m delighted to be part of what’s next for Seven. I’m looking forward to mucking in with the team to deliver outcomes for clients.”
