In the new content arrangement, WTFN’s digital arm, Radar, will take over the management and relaunch Seven’s digital Great Home Ideas channels on YouTube and Facebook.

The Great Home Ideas digital channels offer extended original content developed from Seven Network’s long-running series Better Homes & Gardens. The YouTube channel has been running since 2012 and has nearly 950,000 subscribers.

The new collaboration also includes development opportunities for WTFN to use and re-package existing Better Homes & Gardens content to create new lifestyle shows that WTFN’s distribution arm Fred Media can distribute internationally.

WTFN’s chief commercial officer Derek Dyson said that the Seven Network is “digital-forward and fully embracing some of the new opportunities available to them by partnering with our expert, focused team.”

Seven Network director, distribution and content partnerships Richard Henson, added the deal will “ensure opportunities for our IP are fully maximised in the expanding digital world.”

WTFN recently restructured its executive team, with company co-founder and CEO Daryl Talbot becoming executive director and chief operating officer Wes Crook promoted to the top role.

This came after the company underwent a significant reorganisation, integrating its distribution arm, Fred Media, with its digital and largely UK-based offshoot, Radar.
