Sesame Street toon shorts aimed at kids affected by Ukraine war to air on PlusPlus

The Sesame Street animated content will launch in Ukraine later this month

Ukrainian children’s channel PlusPlus, part of 1+1 Media Group, will air new Sesame Street content for kids affected by the conflict in their homeland.

Sesame Workshop, the non-profit educational organisation behind the long-running US kids’ series, has produced 140×5′ animated segments featuring Elmo, Cookie Monster and other characters.

The shorts are designed to bring playful early learning to children, with a particular focus on the needs and experiences of youngsters affected by crises.

They will be broadcast on PlusPlus and available to stream on the Kyivstar platform from March 27.

“We believe the content will help millions of families cope with difficulties,” said Ivanna Naida, general producer at PlusPlus.
