Senior Warner Bros Discovery APAC marketing exec Daniel Tan to exit

Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) veteran Daniel Tan is leaving his role as senior VP of marketing for Asia Pacific at the end of the month.

His departure follows the launch of the Max brand in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

A representative for WBD confirmed the executive’s departure to C21, saying Tan was “stepping down to prioritise time with his family.”

WBD is currently recruiting a replacement and said there were no other executive changes planned for the APAC team.

Tan’s exit comes just one year after her was promoted to his most recent role. He had been reporting to Patrizio Spagnoletto, WBD’s global chief marketing officer for direct-to-consumer, who left the company in September and was replaced by former Netflix executive Shauna Spenley.

Prior to his promotion, Tan served as VP for growth marketing and streaming in APAC, a role he held for two years. He joined the Warner Media group in 2008.
