Screen Queensland hires Ah Boo for new First Nations role

NEWS BRIEF: Australian funding agency Screen Queensland has developed a newly created position to amplify First Nations voices across the state’s screen industry.

Danielle Ah Boo has been named head of the agency’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programme. Ah Boo, who starts next month and will report to CEO Jacqui Feeney, has previously worked in production for First Nations-founded agency Carbon Creative. More recently, she was a financial accountant with Arrow Energy, while she also previously served as treasurer and co-chair at Reconciliation Queensland.
