Scandi broadcasters lead Trump: The Criminal Conspiracy Case doc pre-buys

72 Films’ Trump: The Criminal Conspiracy Case

MIPCOM: DR in Denmark, Norway’s NRK and SVT in Sweden are among the broadcasters to have secured pre-sales on a Donald Trump documentary from the Emmy-winning creators of 9/11: One Day in America.

Trump: The Criminal Conspiracy Case is being produced by 72 Films for BBC Two in the UK where it will premiere this week.

Distributor All3Media International is shopping the feature doc here in Cannes this week and has also sealed deals with Movistar Plus+ (Spain, Spanish-speaking Andorra) and VRT (Flemish-speaking Belgium).

Broadcast rights have also been acquired by Nine Network in Australia, and NOW TV Hong Kong.

Trump: The Criminal Conspiracy Case follows the biggest criminal case against Donald Trump, which accuses him of spearheading a wide-ranging conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election result.

The documentary is directed by BAFTA winner Marian Mohamed (Defending Digga D) and produced by Jecca Powell (The Zelensky Story). Executive producers are David Glover (Shakespeare: Rise of a Genius), Mark Raphael (Rise of the Billionaires) and Nick Holt (The Murder Trial).

Trump: The Criminal Conspiracy Case is the latest title from 72 Films to be distributed by All3Media International, which also manages rights to Shakespeare: Rise of a Genius, Rise of the Billionaires, Diana, and The Real Crown: Inside the House of Windsor.
