SBS, TVNZ acquire Richard Ayoade-fronted panel show Question Team

Richard Ayoade hosts Question Team

Australia’s SBS and New Zealand’s TVNZ have acquired panel show Question Team, fronted by Richard Ayoade, from international distributor Keshet International (KI).

Both SBS and TVNZ acquired free TV and AVoD rights in their respective markets.

The 8×60’ series, produced by London-based production company Interstellar, was commissioned by UKTV’s Dave and premiered in the UK in October.

In each episode of the show, Ayoade invites three different comedians to write and host their own round of questions for the others to play. Comedians involved in the first season include Katherine Ryan, Bob Mortimer, Johnny Vegas, Nish Kumar and Sarah Pascoe.

The series is created and executive produced by Interstellar co-founder and creative director Jamie Ormerod.

The SBS and TVNZ deals represent KI’s first sales for the series, with the company planning to officially launch the finished tape and format sales in March as part of its 2022 spring slate.
