Dubai-based prodco Ogmented has picked up the format from distributor NBCUniversal Formats and will produce the first international version of the show.

Ghanni Safari (10×60’) will be released in February, in a primetime slot on SBC. Saudi Arabian singer Dalia Moubarak is on board as lead host and judge along with presenter Faysal Al Saleh and comedian Shakir Al Shareif.

Originally a Korean show called Drive Thru OK, produced by Space Rabbit, the show sees contestants try to impress judges with their singing and get past the drive-thru barriers to win a cash prize.

Ana Langenberg, senior VP of format sales and production at NBCUniversal Formats, said: “With Ogmented’s local expertise and a stellar line-up of on-screen talent, we look forward to showcasing the modern Saudi Arabia and celebrating the country’s pop culture in this fun and entertaining show, which we hope will be a hit for audiences on SBC.”
