Sarah Brocklehurst’s new UK prodco Brock Media signs up with BBC Studios

BBC Studios (BBCS) has partnered with new UK-based production company Brock Media, founded by Animals producer Sarah Brocklehurst.

The partnership will encompass development, production and distribution and includes an option for BBCS to take an equity stake. Brocklehurst was advised on the deal by Tom Manwaring of Helion Partners and Nick Mahara of Sheridans.

Brock Media will develop and produce television and films for global audiences, working with talent from the UK as well as international filmmakers and artists.

The female-led company comprises head of development Katie Brown, formerly at ITV and Big Talk, associate producer Rohina Cameron-Perera from Empress Films and development executive Mélys Codo from Film4.

After a career in theatre production, Brocklehurst move into TV and film producing, with credits including feature Animals, based on the novel of the same name by Emma Jane Unsworth, and thriller Black Pond.
