Sandra tracks down Asian sales

Broadcasters across Asia have picked up children’s content from Spanish producer and distributor Imira Entertainment, including Sandra The Fairytale Detective.

The 52×13′ series has been acquired by Media Corp TV12 in Singapore, CH-9 Media in Malaysia and both Hanoi TV and Ho Chi Minh TV in Vietnam.

The deals in Vietnam were struck by Thaole Entertainment, a local distributor, which has also sold Imira’s Lola & Virginia (52×12′) to the channels.

Elsewhere in Asia, Imira has sold preschool series Saari (39×3′) to cabsat channel Good TV in Taiwan and the Philippines.

Healthy eating series Vitaminix (104×2′) has been taken by Zee Learn for its free- and pay-TV networks in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

In related news, Zee Learn today also picked up the first season of the live-action educational series Making Stuff from Canada’s 9 Story Entertainment to air in India.
