Sexy Beasts disguises singletons with prosthetics

A Russian broadcaster has become the latest to remake All3Media International dating format Sexy Beasts.

Russia’s CTC Network has ordered a 24×30′ local version for its Love channel, which will be stripped daily and will start airing later this month.

The format, remade in Russia by local prodco Zamaleev Productions, sees young singles disguised with full Hollywood movie-style prosthetic masks to make them look like monsters, aliens or demonic creatures before they venture out on dates.

The original 8×30’ series was produced by All3Media-owned Lion Television for the UK’s BBC3, which moved online earlier this week, and has been picked up in Australia (ABC), Belgium (SBS) and Sweden (SVT).

Sexy Beasts has also been remade in Korea (KBS), Tencent (China), TV3 (Lithuania) and the US (A&E), while a second season has been ordered by Sixx in Germany.
