RTL Nederland, Talpa Network agree merger

NEWS BRIEF: The merger between Netherlands broadcaster RTL and John de Mol’s Talpa Network to create a major new Dutch media group is one step closer after the two companies signed the agreement.

The completion of the transaction remains subject to approval from authorities and is expected to close in the first half of 2022. The two outfits announced plans to merge their broadcasting and other media businesses in the Netherlands in June.
