RTL+ and HBO Max to bundle services in Germany at introductory discount

HBO Max launches in Germany next week

German streamer RTL+ and Warner Bros Discovery’s HBO Max are preparing a bundle that combines both services under a single subscription when HBO Max launches in Germany next week.

The offer combines RTL+ content such as Neue Geschichten vom Pumuckl, Make Love Fake Love and the UEFA Europa League, with HBO Max series including upcoming Game of Thrones prequel A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, plus The White Lotus, It: Welcome to Derry and The Last of Us, as well as fan favourites Sex & the City and Friends.

Films will include Sinners, DC’s Superman and, coming soon, New Line Cinema’s Weapons and Conjuring: Last Rites.

Customers will be able to subscribe to the bundle via RTL+ or HBO Max, with two options to choose from. The first is the HBO Max Basic with Ads and RTL+ Premium bundle for €11.99 (US$14) per month, instead of €15.98 if both services are subscribed to separately. The second is the HBO Max Standard and RTL+ Premium Werbefrei bundle for €17.99 per month, instead of €25.98 when subscribed to separately.

Both options will have discounted introductory offers at €9.99 and €15.99 per month respectively for the first six months, if purchased within a month of HBO Max’s German launch. The bundle will also soon extend to customers in Austria.
