Romania’s ProTV orders spin-off from drama The Clan

NEWS BRIEF: CME-owned Romanian broadcaster ProTV has started production on Our Father (aka Tătuțu), a spin-off from its hit series The Clan (39×100’), which is itself an adaptation of the Turkish series Insider.

“The Clan was one of the best drama productions in recent years in Romania, proven by its high viewership each season and the eagerness of fans who subscribed to [streamer] Voyo just to watch the series in advance,” said Antonii Mangov, programming director at Pro TV. The Insider remake rights were licensed to ProTV by Eccho Rights, which distributes the original Show TV series for Turkish prodco Ay Yapim as well as the Romanian adaptation.
