Roku renews Great American Baking Show, signs licensing pact with Love Productions

Culinary competition series The Great American Baking Show

The Roku Channel has renewed The Great American Baking Show for a fourth season, in addition to renewing several specials and striking a multi-title licensing deal with the show’s UK-based producer, Love Productions.

In addition to greenlighting S4 of the popular culinary competition series, the AVoD platform has ordered a new special, The Great American Baking Show Celebrity Halloween Special, and renewed three others.

These are: The Great American Baking Show Celebrity Holiday Special (returning for its fourth edition), The Great American Baking Show Big Game (second edition) and The Great American Baking Show Celebrity Summer (second edition).

Seasons eight and nine of UK spin-off series The Great British Baking Show: Juniors will launch under the Roku Originals banner as part of the deal.

Dozens of seasons of Baking Show library content and several international spin-offs are also included in the wide-ranging licensing agreement.

Among them, UK spin-offs Juniors (S1-7) and The Professionals (S1-9) will launch on The Roku Channel.

Other titles include The Great Pottery Throwdown (S6-7), The Great British Sewing Bee (S1-10) and The Great Canadian Baking Show (S1-8, plus holiday specials).

Roku Originals’ head of alternative, Olivia LaRoche, oversees the franchise for the AVoD platform.
