US prodco Critical Content has elevated Rob Lobl and Tony Yates to co-heads following the departure of president Jenny Daly earlier this year.

In their new roles, Lobl, formerly the company’s executive VP of development and current programming, and Yates, previously exec VP of production, will take charge of the SK Global-backed company.

Critical Content produces unscripted shows including Great Food Truck Race (Food Network), Deadly Waters with Captain Lee (Oxygen) and New House No Debt (A&E) as well as scripted series Ginny & Georgia (Netflix).

Both Lobl and Yates have been with the company for over six years.

Before joining Critical Content, Yates was CEO of Zodiak Los Angeles and chief operating officer at RDF USA, where he worked on titles such as Don’t Forget the Lyrics, Wife Swap and Secret Millionaire.

During his spell with the company, Lobl has executive produced projects including Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together (Peacock). Previously, he was the exec VP of development and current at T Group Productions.

In May, it was revealed that Daly, who had led the company for seven years, was leaving to become president at A Smith & Co Productions.
