Reality format Married at First Sight US leaves A&E Networks’ Lifetime to hook up with Peacock

Married at First Sight US previously aired on A&E’s Lifetime

The US version of hit reality format Married at First Sight is moving from A&E Networks to NBCUniversal-owned streamer Peacock.

Married at First Sight originally launched on A&E’s FYI channel in 2014, where it aired for four seasons before moving to sister channel Lifetime in 2017 from season five.

The upcoming 19th season of the series, produced by Kinetic Content, will now move to Peacock, which said it had won the rights “following a competitive situation.” The new season will debut later this year.

Married at First Sight is based on the original Danish format Gift ved første blik, which launched in 2013. There are now 30 versions of the show internationally, which Peacock claims makes it the most localised relationship format in the world.
