Raw TV’s latest stranger-than-fiction series picked up by TVNZ, Stan, Now TV, TV2
The Body Next Door was produced for Sky Documentaries
UK producer Raw TV (Don’t Fck With Cats)’s latest stranger-than-fiction true crime series The Body Next Door and Dead in the Water have attracted broadcaster interest around the world, shopped by distributor All3Media International.
The Body Next Door explores the macabre discovery that thrust a sleepy village in the Welsh Valleys into the spotlight. Produced for Sky Documentaries, the three-parter debuted in August.
The docuseries has been picked up in Australia by Stan Entertainment, New Zealand by TVNZ, Hong Kong by Now TV and Denmark by TV2.
Dead in the Water follows a double murder off the coast of Guatemala in 1978
Produced for Amazon’s Prime Video, Dead in the Water focuses on the murders of Chris Farmer and Peta Frampton, whose bodies were discovered off the coast of Guatemala in 1978, and the decades-long global hunt for the killer.
The three-part docuseries premiered exclusively on Prime Video earlier this year in the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Nordics and Netherlands.
All3Media International has now sold digital rights to the doc to BritBox in the US, while broadcast rights have been acquired by DR in Denmark and Now TV Hong Kong. Multi-territory deals have been agreed with Canal+ for France and French-speaking territories and Sky Deutschland has taken first-window rights in Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein and German-speaking Luxembourg and Switzerland. ZDF has acquired the second window in Germany for its documentary channel ZDFinfo.
The Body Next Door and Dead in the Water join All3Media International’s slate of premium non-scripted productions from All3Media-owned Raw, which already includes shows such as The Man Who Played with Fire, Parole and Drowning in Plastic.
