Raw hires producer and BBC Film alum Sam Gordon for features and scripted

Raw, the London-based indie behind Netflix true crime hits The Tinder Swindler and Don’t F**k With Cats, has added producer Sam Gordon to its features team.

Gordon, who has more than 20 years of experience in the film and entertainment industry, will work as a producer/executive producer at All3Media-owned Raw.

Gordon has previously held roles at Baby Cow, Calamity Films, Magnolia Mae and BBC Film in the UK.

Most recently he served as a development producer at Brouhaha Entertainment where he worked on 2024 feature Firebrand and coproduced Karim Ainouz’s Motel Destino.

His credits also include the four-time Academy Award nominated Philomena (2013), Oscar-winning Judy (2019) and Benediction (2021).

Gordon will report into chief creative officer Dimitri Doganis and CEO Joely Fether, working with filmmakers Bart Layton and Tim Wardle, as well as head of scripted TV Sara Murray and Raw’s senior creative team.

Raw’s features to date have included American Animals, Three Identical Strangers, The Imposter, Encounter and Dream Horse. Its upcoming projects include feature title Crime 101 for Amazon MGM Studios, with Working Title and directed by Bart Layton.

Doganis said: “Having collaborated with Sam during his time at BBC Film, I’m delighted to welcome him to the team at Raw as we continue to grow our ambitions in the film and scripted space.”
