Rare’s 360 makes Renegade move

Rare TV’s UK factual prodco 360Production has appointed an exec from Renegade Pictures as its director of UK factual.

Belinda Cherrington will take on the newly created executive production role with a focus on generating specialist factual and access ideas for BBC2, BBC4 and Channel 4.

Prior to Renegade, Cherrington held senior and executive positions at Lion TV, Films of Record, Mentorn Media, Tigress Productions and Tiger Aspect. She was also BAFTA nominated for her first directing role, which saw her make four episodes of the acclaimed BBC1 series Hotel.

In 2011, Cherrington moved to the US, where she opened a development office for Mentorn Media in New York.

Rare, which was set up in 2014 by former Ingenious Ventures MD Antony Fraser, acquired 360Production in June 2014, followed by the acquisition of Screen Channel Television.
