Quintus Studios uncovers Crisis in Cocaine Valley, World’s Most Dangerous Rescues for MipTV

Crisis In Cocaine Valley looks at the pandemic’s impact on the Peruvian drugs trade

A documentary about the Covid-19 pandemic’s impact on cocaine production is among the projects being brought by German distributor and channel operator Quintus Studios to MipTV next week.

Crisis In Cocaine Valley (1×60′) comes from Maximus Films and ventures through rivers and the deepest jungles to track down abandoned as well as active cocaine pools and drug labs to uncover the pandemic’s impact on the Peruvian drug trade.

Quintus will also be shopping two projects backed by German free-to-air network WELT and Quintus’s originals arm.

The World’s Most Dangerous Rescues (6×60′) is a Middlechild Productions series that follows some of the world’s most remarkable and little-known rescue missions, told first-hand by those involved.

Supercar Tech (5×60′), meanwhile, comes from Quintus Studios and Cry Havoc Productions and explores how the supercar genre originated and evolved, detailing how the machines work and the critical bits of kit that allowed them to advance and helped usher in an era of speed and performance.

Quintus Studios owns and operates YouTube channel brands including Free Documentary, FD Real, FD History, FD Nature, FD Paranormal and ENDEVR. It also owns and operates FAST channel Radical Docs.

“The Quintus originals initiative is not only boosting our sales catalogue in regard to numbers of hours, but especially in terms of diversification,” said Gerrit Kemming, MD at Quintus Studios.
