Recently launched shortform video app Quibi is offering a psychological anthology series based on Japanese TV thriller Horror Accidental.

Also titled Horror Accidental, the new show is written and directed by Evan Daugherty and is made exclusively for mobile viewing. It highlights everyday situations normal people find themselves in and the horrific possibilities that lurk around every corner in the modern world.

The show is produced by Gunpowder & Sky’s horror brand Alter and exec produced by Van Toffler, Cody Zwieg, Amuse Group USA and Fuji TV, which produced the original Japanese drama. Scoop Productions also produces.

Quibi launched in the US, Canada, UK and Germany earlier this month, reaching 1.7 million downloads in its first week, according to CEO Meg Whitman.
