Propagate partners with Constantin

LA-based producer and distributor Propagate has partnered with German production outfit Constantin Entertainment on a reciprocal first-look deal.

The two companies will partner to develop and produce entertainment across all formats and genres.

Munich-based Constantin Entertainment, a subsidiary of Constantin Film (Resident Evil, Downfall), has production facilities in numerous European countries.

It produces local versions of shows such as The Voice, Kitchen Nightmares and MasterChef in markets including Israel, Switzerland, Greece, Poland, Serbia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bulgaria.

It is also behind Chris Tall Presents on Amazon as well as Milfor Missy, the first reality show for fledgling streamer Joyn, a joint venture between ProSiebenSat.1 and Discovery.

Propagate has offices in LA, New York and Paris. Its credits include Jane the Virgin, Moment of Truth, Adam Ruins Everything, Bet on Your Baby and Running Wild with Bear Grylls.

It was set up by Ben Silverman and Howard Owens, who previously founded Reveille, producing hits such as The Office and Ugly Betty.

Silverman went on to serve as co-chairman of NBC Entertainment and form Electus, while Owens served as president of National Geographic Channels.
