Amazon’s Prime Video has ordered The Chosen Adventures

Amazon’s Prime Video has ordered faith-based animated adventure comedy The Chosen Adventures to series.

Coproduced by Amazon MGM Studios and Christian prodco 5&2 Studios in the US, the 14×11’ series follows a nine-year-old girl and her best friend as they navigate life in the ancient city of Capernaum.

When the children encounter a wise craftsman and teacher, Jesus of Nazareth, he helps them change the way they see the world, and they help spread his influence far and wide.

The Chosen Adventures will premiere on Prime Video in the US, UK, Latin America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and sub-Saharan Africa.

Ryan Swanson serves as writer, exec producer and showrunner. 5&2 Studios’ Dallas Jenkins also exec produces with Chris Juen, Chad Gundersen, Keith Alcorn, Kellen Erskine and Derral Eves.

The series order follows a first-look deal Amazon MGM Studios signed with 5&2 Studios earlier this year, under which Amazon MGM Studios now has the streaming rights to dramas The Chosen and Joseph of Egypt, and unscripted series The Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls.
