Prime Video gets a taste of Quebec’s restaurant industry in new docuseries

Amazon’s Prime Video in Canada has commissioned an 8×30’ docuseries exploring life inside Quebec’s fast-paced restaurant industry.

Produced by Montreal-based Pixcom, Pendant ce temps en cuisine (Meanwhile, in the kitchen) follows six chefs over the course of six months as they experience the realities of owning and running a restaurant business.

Pendant ce temps en cuisine will premiere on Prime Video in Canada on March 10.

Chefs featured in the docuseries include: Antonin Mousseau-Rivard; Simon Mathys; Mike Lafaille; and chef duos Alex Cohen and Raegan Steinberg, Maria-Josée and Zoya De Frias, and Kim Côté and Perle Morency.

The project is produced by Pixcom in association with Amazon Studios, with Nicola Merola, Charles Lafortune and Sylvie Desrochers serving as executive producers. Lysandre Leduc-Boudreau, Karen Cho and Riel Lazarus are the directors, Jennifer Gatien is producer and Stephan Peterson is series producer.

Prime Video’s Canadian slate includes LOL: Qui rira le dernier?, Nuit Blanche, Three Pines, The Lake, LOL: Last One Laughing Canada, All or Nothing: Toronto Maple Leafs and a reboot of The Kids in the Hall.
