Prime Video examines US-Mexican soccer rivalry

NEWS BRIEF: Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service has greenlit a three-part docuseries on the political, social and sporting rivalry between the Mexican and US national men’s soccer teams, to air later this year, coinciding with the World Cup in Qatar.

Good Neighbors is a coproduction from Prime Video Sports and Skydance Sports, with Meadowlark Media and Ocellated producing. Matt Newman, head of Prime Video original sport content, said the doc was the first of a slate of such sports-led projects that will be rolling out on Prime in coming years.
