Preschool series Mumfie makes way to ITV, Cartoonito, AMC, SVT

Mumfie is based on Magic Adventures of Mumfie

ANNECY: ITV, Warner Bros Discovery (WBD)’s Cartoonito, AMC Networks International and Sweden’s SVT have licensed preschool animated comedy series Mumfie from Banijay Kids and Family.

Directed by Daniel Dubuis, the adaptation is based on Britt Allcroft’s Magic Adventures of Mumfie and recently launched on commissioning broadcasters France Télévisions and Rai in Italy.

Mumfie (78×7′) revives the 90-year-old classic children’s property about the adventures of an optimistic young elephant and his friends. It is a copro between Banijay’s Zodiak Kids & Family France and Italian animation studio Animoka.

ITV has picked up UK rights for ITVBe; WBD for Cartoonito in Australia, New Zealand, South-East Asia and South Korea; and AMC Network International’s JimJam in CEE, MENA and Portugal. United Arab Emirates network Ejunior will also air the show, while KiKa in Germany previously pre-bought it from Zodiak Kids & Family Distribution.
