Preschool DinoCity continues to build in new territories around the world

Animated preschool series DinoCity

Four new European buyers have purchased animated preschool series DinoCity from global distributor About Premium Content (APC) Kids.

Discovery Italia has picked up the 52×5’ series in a free TV rights deal and will air DinoCity on its Frisbee channel. Local channel DeA Junior holds pay TV rights in the region.

Irish pubcaster TG4 has also bought free TV rights, along with Turkey’s Minika.

All Media Latvia, which serves Baltic countries Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, has also secured non-exclusive SVoD rights to the show.

DinoCity will roll out in Russia this week on local kids’ channel Karusel TV. In April, Greek public broadcaster ERT and Canal+-owned French channel Piwi+ bought the rights to the show.

Other broadcasters to have bought the show include Finnish pubcaster YLE, Flemish pubcaster Ketnet, MENA kids’ channel MBC, Balkan broadcaster Menart and Tiny Pop in the UK.

DinoCity follows a family of dinosaurs who live in the big city and face a series of daily adventures that bring them closer together.

The show is produced by Russia’s Riki Group, which also developed kids’ animated series KikoRiki in partnership with Animax Production animation studio.

Anna Mysskaya, Riki Group’s head of international said: “DinoCity was initially created to harness the demand for truly global animation and we are so excited to see how this story will find viewers all around the world. It rarely happens that the world premiere of a project takes place outside of its origin country and so we are delighted to follow in the success of DinoCity’s debut in Italy and the UK.”

APC Kids holds exclusive global distribution rights for the series.
