Portfolio adds Frantic, Fusion alum

Toronto-based producer and distributor Portfolio Entertainment has added a Fusion Television exec to oversee development of its factual programming.

Jennifer Bragg becomes director of factual and lifestyle development effective immediately and will report into Joy Rosen, CEO and co-founder of Portfolio.

Bragg will lead the company’s factual division and will be responsible for content development for Canadian and international broadcasters, with a focus on factual, reality and lifestyle.

She was most recently development associate at Toronto-based factual entertainment producer Fusion, where she created and developed concepts across lifestyle, factual, prank, reality and gameshow genres. She was also a freelance development writer and before that worked at Frantic Films.

Portfolio produces and distributes kids, factual and unscripted entertainment and is known for shows including The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!, Freaktown, and factual series For the Love of Dog.

Rosen said Bragg “brings wide-ranging experience in unscripted content that is augmented by her passion and vast knowledge in emerging trends, pop culture, social media and the digital marketplace.”
