Polsat adapts Endemol Shine romcom

How to Marry a Millionaire is adapted from NL Film’s Joan Collins film Ellis in Glamourland

Polish broadcaster Polsat has ordered a romantic comedy film from Endemol Shine Poland, based on a 2004 movie from NL Film, part of Endemol Shine Netherlands.

How to Marry a Millionaire (1×100′), known in Poland as Jak Poślubić Milionera, is an adaptation of NL Film’s Ellis in Glamourland, which stars Joan Collins.

The Polish adaptation, written by Karolina Szymczyk-Majchrzak and directed by Filip Zylber, follows a single woman who enrols on a course to learn the do’s and don’ts of dating and ultimately find the perfect partner.

It will be released in cinemas in Poland on November 29 prior to its premiere on Polsat.

In related news, Endemol Shine Group has signed a distribution agreement with children’s VoD service Kidoodle TV.

The pact includes a number of titles from Endemol Shine’s portfolio, including preschool series Bananas in Pyjamas and animated comedy Mr Bean.

Kidoodle is an ad-supported platform which advertises itself as a ‘safe streaming’ model for kids, where parents hand-pick the content.
