Poland’s TVP picks up Banijay Italia entertainment format Boomerissima

The Polish version of the show is fronted by Barbara Kurdej-Szatan

Polish pubcaster TVP has ordered a local version of Banijay Italia entertainment format Boomerissima, marking the first international adaptation of the show.

Banijay’s Endemol Shine Poland will produce the Polish version, which will be called Cudowne lata. Filming has commenced, with the premiere scheduled for September.

TVP’s version is the first international adaptation of the format, which aired its second season on Rai 2 in Italy last year.

Boomerissima pits generations against each other to prove their superiority. Every episode sees celebrities from different eras take each other on, as they highlight TV shows, movies, music, famous names, adverts and more to refute stereotypes and determine whether things were better in the past or the present.

In the end, the studio audience has the final say about which generation will come out on top.
