Plimsoll Productions promotes Saul Goldberg to SVP of US operation

UK-based Plimsoll Productions has promoted Saul Goldberg, who has been running the company’s US headquarters in Los Angeles since 2019, to the role of senior VP of production and development.

Goldberg, previously VP of production and development, will continue to work with LA-based Plimsoll board member Mark Itkin as the company looks to grow its US footprint across all genres and attach A-list talent to its slate of projects.

Itken, a former US talent agent and unscripted TV dealmaker, joined the Plimsoll board a year ago.

Since joining the company in 2019, Goldberg has helped earn commissions for several unscripted series, including On The Edge with Alex Honnold (National Geographic) and When Big Things Go Wrong (History), as well as as-yet unannounced projects in the works at Hulu, Disney+, Discovery+ and Peacock.

“He and Mark together make a winning combination, and I’m excited to harness their vision for further innovation and growth in the US,” said Grant Mansfield, founder and CEO of Plimsoll Productions.

Plimsoll, based in Bristol, has launched several titles this year including The Women of 9/11 (ABC), Malika the Lion Queen (Fox) and a second season of Tiny World (Apple TV+).
