Planeta Junior hires toon sales manager

European children’s producer and distributor Planeta Junior has appointed an executive to manage international animation sales for TV and digital.

África Vázquez Rubí has been appointed international media sales director and will report to Diego Ibáñez, Planeta Junior’s international commercial director.

Rubí previously managed feature film and TV series distribution in the Asia Pacific region at Warner Bros.

She has held sales and rights management roles at companies such as Universal Pictures, 20th Century Fox and The Walt Disney Company, and has worked in both London and Sydney.

Planeta Junior has offices in Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Central and Eastern Europe. Its slate includes shows such as Gormiti, Squish, Mutant Busters, Egyxos, Bubble Bip, Sendokai, Maya 3D, Heidi 3D and Magiki.
