Participant Media’s upcoming US cable network Pivot has unveiled its first slate ahead of its debut on August 1.

Its initial offering includes more than 300 hours of original programming, headlined by irreverent late-night talkshow TakePart Live, which will air every weeknight at midnight, looking into the day’s headlines.

Documentary-based talkshow Raising McCain (10×30′), fronted by Meghan McCain, outspoken daughter of senator John McCain, will premiere on Saturday September 14, produced by Go Go Luckey Entertainment.

Jersey Strong (10×30′), from producers Mark Benjamin and Marc Levin, is a factual series following the intertwined lives of two very different Newark families. It will premiere on September 14 at 22.30.

Previously acquired feature docs Last Call at The Oasis and The Occupy Wall Street Collaborative Film have also been given air dates – August 25 and September 17 respectively

Cultural sitcom Little Mosque on the Prairie (91×60′), originally produced by Westwind Pictures for CBC in Canada, will get its US television debut on the channel on Monday August 5 at 19.00.

Further down the line, the channel will launch hitRECord on TV (8×30′), a modern take on the variety show fronted by actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, on January 18 next year.
