Pesky’s Boj bound for China

A streaming service in China has acquired UK preschool animated series Boj, produced by Pesky Productions in association with firms in Wales and Ireland.

The Chinese version of Boj will be available in both English and Mandarin

iQiyi has picked up the 50×11′ series, which Pesky produced with Cloth Cat Animation in Wales and Kavaleer Productions in Ireland. The series will be available in both English and Mandarin in China.

The show follows a free-spirited five-year-old bilby (Australian marsupial) who is full of creativity and helps children to make their first friendships outside of the family.

It first aired on CBeebies in the UK and has also been sold to broadcasters including ABC in Australia, RTÉ in Ireland, YLE in Finland, Sprout in the US, France Télévisions and AMC Networks International-owned JimJam.
