Peacock renews YA drama One of Us is Lying for second season

One of Us is Lying is based on a book by Karen McManus

NBCUniversal-owned streamer Peacock has renewed young-adult series One of Us is Lying for a second season.

Based on Karen McManus’s novel of the same name, One of Us is Lying is the story of what happens when five high schoolers walk into detention and only four make it out alive.

The series is produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, and 5 More Minutes Productions.

Writer and exec producer Erica Saleh will serve as showrunner on season two, while S1 showrunner Dario Madrona will remain an exec producer.

5 More Minutes Productions founder John Sacchi also exec produces alongside partner Matt Groesch, Jan Oxenberg, Molly Nussbaum and Bill Johnson.
