Peacock grabs US rights to All3Media International’s Escape to the Chateau

Escape to the Chateau’s Angel and Dick

US SVoD service Peacock has acquired exclusive US rights to factual property Escape to the Chateau from All3Media International.

The deal includes seven seasons of the long-running series, led by Dick and Angel Strawbridge, as well as spin-off series Escape to the Chateau: Make Do & Mend.

The seventh season will launch on October 1 on Peacock, which has garnered more than 54 million sign-ups since its launch in 2020. October 1 is also when the exclusivity agreement comes into effect.

Produced by Two Rivers Media and Chateau Television for Channel 4 in the UK, Escape to the Chateau follows the Strawbridge family as they set out to renovate a derelict 19th century French chateau.

“This new partnership with Peacock creates a fabulous exclusive home in the U.S. for this hugely popular brand. Having previously shared rights in the territory, Peacock will now be the destination for US fans to experience all of Dick and Angel’s adventures,” said Sally Habbershaw, exec VP Americas at All3Media International.

Earlier this month All3Media International, the distribution arm of European production group All3Media, appointed former Kew Media Distribution executive Jennifer Askin as its senior VP for North America.
