Peace Point finds Muse in Lat Am

Canadian producer and distributor Peace Point Rights has acquired Latin American sales rights to a quartet of series from fellow Canuck firm Muse Entertainment.

Series shopped by Peace Point in the region will include Tut (3×120’/6×60′), the miniseries about Ancient Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun, commissioned by US cablenet Spike.

It tells the story of Tut’s rise to power and his struggle to lead Egypt to glory while his closest advisors, friends and lovers scheme for their own nefarious interests.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered (14×60’/7×120′), meanwhile, is a light-hearted drama from Hallmark Channel in the US that follows four postal workers who transform themselves into an unconventional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail.

Elsewhere, Peace Point will also represent the murder mystery series Aurora Teagarden: A Bone to Pick (3×120′) and The Gourmet Detective (3×120′) in Latin America.

The company will be at MipTV next week with a slate including reality competition series Ice Racer Showdown (12×60′), to which it recently acquired worldwide sales rights across all platforms.

Also on its line-up is Escape or Die! (12×30′), which follows escape artist Dean Gunnarson as he entertains audiences around the world with death-defying stunts.
