Paramount’s Lydia Goomansingh takes branded entertainment role at Fremantle

Fremantle has appointed Lydia Goomansingh to the newly created role of senior VP of commercial, global branded entertainment, based in London.

Goomansingh reports to Roberta Zamboni, global head of branded content and sponsorship and will focus on strengthening Fremantle’s branded entertainment capabilities and scope internationally, spanning unscripted, scripted, digital, social and experiential.

The exec joins Fremantle from Paramount where she served as senior director of commercial content for six years. Prior to that she held senior roles at BBC Studios, The Walt Disney Company and Sky.

Fremantle recently announced the launch of its new business unit, overseen by Gabriella Carriere, group head of strategy and new business.

Carriere said: “The appointment of Lydia to Fremantle’s new business area reflects our strong commitment to this key growth engine and underlines our ambition to operate in an increasingly integrated, international and IP-led way.”
