Paramount links up with 13 Reasons scribe

US studio Paramount Television has agreed an exclusive two-year overall deal with Pulitzer Prize winner Brian Yorkey, who adapted Netflix drama 13 Reasons Why.

The arrangement gives Paramount exclusive rights to develop, produce and distribute all TV projects from Yorkey across broadcast, cable and digital services.

Netflix recently ordered a second season of Paramount’s 13 Reasons Why, which is based on Jay Asher’s eponymous novel. Yorkey serves as showrunner and executive producer on the show.

Paramount Television is behind shows including Jack Ryan for Amazon, Maniac for Netflix, Shooter for USA and Berlin Station for Epix.
