Pam Kaufman, Paramount’s president and CEO of international markets, global consumer products and experiences, is leaving the company amid a continued reshuffling of its executive ranks following its merger with Skydance.

The New York-based exec, who joined Paramount in 1997, will serve as a consultant until the end of the year. She announced her departure in an internal memo.

Early in her tenure, Kaufman worked on Nickelodeon’s marketing team, becoming chief marketing officer, before becoming Viacom’s president of global consumer products in 2018. She was promoted to her current role in 2022.

As president and CEO of international markets, global consumer products and experiences, Kaufman has overseen a division that spans merchandise, gaming and live entertainment across more than 170 markets and 30 offices globally.

“After much thought and reflection, I have made the difficult decision to leave Paramount,” wrote Kaufman in her note to colleagues.

The announcement of Kaufman’s exit comes seven weeks after Kevin MacLellan was named president of international and global content distribution. There have been other changes to Paramount’s international team in recent weeks, with Sarah Rose, president of UK broadcaster 5 and UK regional lead for Paramount, leaving for a position as CEO of charitable organisation the Royal Foundation.

Kaufman added: “I am excited to see what David Ellison, Jeff Shell and the new leadership team have planned for the future. While I am consulting through the end of the year, I leave with immense pride in what we have built and confidence in what’s ahead.”
