Paramount+, Globo, Bell pick up Lifetime TV movies from Cineflix

Miracle in Motor City includes a Motown soundtrack

Globo in Brazil and Paramount+ in the UK are among the international buyers to have picked up television movies from London-based distributor Cineflix Rights.

Miracle in Motor City (1×90’), featuring Tia Mowry-Hardrict, music legend Smokey Robinson and a soundtrack of Motown hits, has been acquired by Paramount+ for its UK launch, Globo and Bell Media (English-speaking Canada).

With Roselyn Sánchez and Lyriq Bent in the lead roles, An Ice Wine Christmas (1×90’) follows a big-city sommelier who returns to her hometown for the annual ice wine harvest and begins a holiday romance. The movie has been sold to Paramount+ (UK), TV4 (Sweden), Globo, Sýn hf (Iceland) and Bell Media (English-speaking Canada).

Stolen By Their Father (1×90’) is the account of a woman who says goodbye to her young daughters only to discover that her abusive ex-husband has kidnapped them and taken them to Greece. It has been acquired by Channel 5 (UK), A&E (Latin America), Corus (Canada) and Bell Media (French-speaking Canada).

Starring Jennie Garth and Anwen O’Driscoll, Left for Dead: The Ashley Reeves Story (1×90) is the true take of a teenage girl’s fight for life following a brutal assault. It has been bought by Channel 5, A&E (Latin America), Sýn hf, Corus, Bell Media (French-speaking Canada).

All four movies were originally produced for A+E Networks-owned US cablenet Lifetime by Canada’s Cineflix Productions.
